Israel's Home Front Command on Sunday announced an update in its guidelines concerning upholding the routine of life at work, educational activities, and public gatherings, publishing instructions that will be in effect beginning on Sunday at nightfall and continuing through Tuesday evening.
These guidelines, issued according to the security situation, are the most restricted in Israeli villages and cities located closest to the Gaza Strip.
In those areas, educational activities are prohibited, while work is permitted only in a place from which a standard protected area can be reached within the time available to get to a shelter.
Gatherings are allowed with a limit of up to 10 people outdoors and up to 50 indoors. Funerals can be held only if there are 15 or fewer people in attendance, while beaches in the areas closest to the Gaza Strip are closed to the public.
In other parts of the country, the restrictions are less severe.
In another possible sign of an upsurge in the conflict in the region, crew aboard the USS Gerald Ford just off the coast of Israel were served lobster and steak, according to OSINTdefender in a post on X.
The open source intelligence monitor pointed out that such a meal is usually reserved for a holiday [which it was not] or to ease the delivery of bad news, such as embarking on a difficult mission.
