Some students at Yale University believed to be too upset over Donald Trump's victory to take a midterm exam.
Mediaite reported that a professor sent out an email to his students in an economics class. The email — which makes the exam optional for those distraught over Trump's victory — was obtained by Jon Victor, managing editor of the Yale Daily News, who tweeted it early Wednesday morning:
The professor declined to postpone the exam for those too stunned by the election results and instead made it optional, saying other students had already prepared for it. But the professor noted he was aware that some students were in "shock over the election returns."
The professor noted he would use different grading systems depending on who took the exam and who did not.
According to Fox News, it isn't clear who the professor was, but made a list of all Yale economic professors available.
