It's not just your TV: the red areas are growing on
Comcast's service outage map as users line up to report outages nationwide in their cable television service, leaving television screens black while customers and their children were home for the President's Day holiday.
Downdetector.com also showed a map with red areas rapidly expanding, particularly on the East Coast.
The television outage began for many users at around 9:15 a.m. and spread, and as the company's customer service line was also out of order, likely because of the high volume of calls, customers took to Twitter to shout at the company and about the outage, with the hashtag #comcastoutage growing rapidly:
As of Monday morning, Comcast had not announced a reason behind the outage, but service started returning later in the morning for some users.
