Trump Declines to Throw First Pitch at Nationals Game

President Donald Trump has declined the Washington Nationals' invitation to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on opening day, the team told reporters.

The White House cited scheduling conflicts on Monday, opening day, when the Nationals play host to the Miami Marlins.

Every president since William Howard Taft in 1910 — with the exception of Jimmy Carter — has thrown out a first pitch at some point in their presidency.
