Taylor Swift's feud with celebrity manager Scooter Braun has apparently spread to Sen. Kamala Harris after the Democratic presidential hopeful appeared at a fundraising event at his home over the weekend.
After Harris' husband posted a picture from the event online, Taylor's fans, known as "Swifties," began slamming the California lawmaker, reports The Daily Beast. Braun and Swift are battling over the rights to her early master recordings, which he bought earlier this summer.
His campaign event included stars Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, and Ariana Grande, and according to Page Six, which published responses from Swift's loyal fan base, Harris appears to have made their do-not-vote list for being there.
“I was SO excited for you as a democratic candidate, but if you so choose to go to an event held by @scooterbraun, a man whose arrogance mirrors our president’s, I can no longer hold onto my excitement and faith for you as a presidential candidate,” one fan tweeted."
Another one warned that if Harris "thinks this will get her votes she is delusional and @scooterbraun is a thief who uses these women to advance his bank account," and yet other fans warned her she'd lose a lot of votes because of her association with Braun.
Braun's Ithaca Holdings media company bought Swift's first big label, Big Machine Label Group, causing her to complain that he "stripped" her of her life's work, which she did not have a chance to buy.
She also has accused him of "incessant, manipulative bullying" and said she did not know that Braun was negotiating a $300 million deal to buy her work, which she was trying to buy for years.
