A student at a women's liberal arts college in South Carolina says she was booted from class for disagreeing with her professor's comparison of Donald Trump's election to the 9/11 terror attacks.
The student at Converse College in Spartanburg told The College Fix the professor told students, "I haven't felt this way since 9/11" and called Nov. 9 the second worst day in American history.
She said she was ejected when she told the teacher the remarks were disrespectful to those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 attacks.
"I went to her class and got kicked out for expressing my opinion," the student told The College Fix.
She also wrote in a Facebook post to others with the same opinion: "You are comparing today to a day that killed thousands of people in MY HOME … I am disgusted."
The student said a school dean told her the matter would be "rectified in a professional and acceptable manner."
The College Fix said it was not identifying either the student or the professor.
