Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein could have avoided creating Hollywood’s latest sex scandal by following Vice President Mike Pence’s simple rule: Never dine alone with a woman who is not your wife.
Former White House aide Sebastian Gorka offered that bit of Midwest morality in a tweet this week.
Weistein, once one of the most powerful men in Hollywood, was fired from his own film company after several women claimed he sexually molested them.
Mediate, the entertainment and political blog site, flagged Gorka’s tweet Wednesday, as writer Aidan McLaughlin sneered, "It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that ‘Dr’ Sebastian Gorka is back at it again."
Gorka, a military and intelligence analyst, resigned from the Trump administration after disagreements with other White House aides over terrorism issues.
In his tweet, Gorka referred to Pence’s comment to the Hill newspaper that was repeated in a Washington Post profile on the evangelical Christian from Indiana.
"In 2002, Mike Pence told the Hill that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won't attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either," the Post wrote.
