Groups opposing efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare are preparing new protest tactics including holding mock funerals in Republican lawmakers' districts and staging "die-ins' in the offices of House members who supported the GOP healthcare bill, Politico reported.

"We must be far more visceral," said Jason Haber, a Manhattan real estate investor who started a super PAC that he said will host mock funerals, complete with caskets.

Haber said the funerals will include "tombstones, coffins, even eulogies," according to Politico. They will be staged later this month for "the constituents that will be killed as a result of losing access to healthcare."

Meanwhile, Indivisible, a group responsible for organizing protests against the GOP healthcare bill at town hall meetings hosted by Republican lawmakers, is organizing "die-ins," The Washington Times reported.

The group has teamed with Moveon.org and The Town Hall project for what is being called the "Payback Project. The "die-ins" will be staged at district offices or public events with the representatives who voted for the bill, according to the Times.

But Democrats are divided over the new tactics, Politico reported.

"Staging a funeral has a lot of shock value, but runs the risk of overplaying the hand and turning off swing, moderate or independent voters who would otherwise agree with us on this issue," Politico quoted Caitlin Legacki, a strategist who worked on the 2012 campaign of Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo.
