Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s four-day bus tour of the Midwest has ended. She wrote an explanation on her Facebook page Monday, saying she’s going “back to Alaska for the start of the school year,”
Politico reports.
The latest segment of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate’s “One Nation” bus tour began Friday at the Iowa State Fair, the day before the Iowa Straw Poll in Ames. On Saturday, she traveled to former President Ronald Reagan’s childhood home in Dixon, Ill.
On Sunday, Palin visited the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, Ill., and she spent Monday in Kansas City, Mo., posting a photo on Facebook of her daughter Piper and niece McKinley, with the National World War I Museum and Liberty Memorial in the background.
And what will Palin do when she returns to Alaska? “While kids crack open their school books, I look forward to continuing my own writing and research on strategies and plans to help move our country forward,” she wrote.
