President Donald Trump said he wrongly lost out on winning an Emmy Award for "The Apprentice" and will not likely receive the Nobel Peace Prize either.
Trump spoke with the New York Post in the Oval Office Wednesday and discussed myriad topics, including his time on his reality TV show.
"Well, they'll never give it to me," Trump said in regard to the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to stabilize the Korean Peninsula. "We should have gotten the Emmy for 'The Apprentice,' you know? I had the No. 1 show, 'The Apprentice.' Arnold Schwarzenegger blew it. Big movie star. It was dead in two nights. I had it for 14 seasons."
Trump then told a story of being at the 2004 Emmys and thinking his show was going to win the award after its first season.
"So, they're saying, he's done a magnificent job, this show has gone to the top of the heap . . . and the winner is, and I stood up . . . and they said 'Amazing Race' and I said, 'You've got to be kidding?' That show was terrible," Trump said. "'Amazing Race' got it because 'Amazing Race' was the establishment."
