The liberal news media acted like "little pink lapdogs" as they attacked Gov. Chris Christie during his press conference about bridge-gate, says Lou Dobbs, host of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" on the Fox Business Network.
"The national liberal media went after Gov. Christie like piranha. It was amazing," Dobbs, author of the new book
"Upheaval" told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"These little pink lap dogs who sit at the feet of President [Barack] Obama, to suddenly see them snarling, biting, surrounding the good governor."

Dobbs says he was impressed at Christie's performance at the nearly two-hour press conference on Thursday.
The Garden State's top lawmaker apologized for the scandal and fired one of his top aides who was involved in closing lanes in Fort Lee that created fours day of massive traffic jams by the George Washington Bridge.
Emails revealed the closures were ordered as political payback after Fort Lee's Democratic mayor refused to endorse Christie for reelection.
"To see the way he handled this thing, on one level it was exemplary in terms of crisis management and on the other so jarring to see this man who's so full of bravura normally to be so contrite and meek. It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out," Dobbs said.
"You know what the real difference is here? That Gov. Christie is in a blue state surrounded by Democrats in the state legislature surrounded by entirely left-wing media. He could not step one inch over the boundary anywhere without just a cascade of criticism and bone-crushing vilification efforts from every quarter."
