Standing in an elevator Wednesday with reporters and House Republicans, Rep. Justin Amash, I-Mich., said his former party members are being disingenuous, HuffPost reported.
"They talk about it like we're all stupid, like we can't see what's going on," Amash reportedly said, pointing to the House Intelligence Committee Republican's challenging the testimony of Amb. Gordon Sondland.
"Sondland testified to a quid pro quo," Amash continued. "He testified to significant details and facts. He testified that he thought it was wrong. So, the inference is obvious that the president was withholding security assistance."
Amash rejected House Intel Committee Republicans' claims the impeachable offenses are not obvious.
"It just is," Amash told reporters and Republicans on the elevator. "If this were any grand jury proceeding, it would be obvious to everyone."
