White House Looking at Options Over FAA Shutdown

WASHINGTON — The White House is looking at possible options President Barack Obama could use to end a partial shutdown of federal aviation programs, but the issue should be resolved by Congress, the White House spokesman Wednesday.

"We are obviously looking at the different options that the president has," spokesman Jay Carney said.
