Former President Bill Clinton is calling for global action on pressing issues as his annual Clinton Global Initiative conference starts.
At the opening panel Sunday, he told the audience that around the world, "all that people want is a job, or a business."
He challenged Walmart CEO Mike Duke to open a store in Libya, to create jobs in the world's most troubled areas.
Duke was on the opening panel that also included U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Queen Rania of Jordan and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim.
Duke told Clinton that his company already operates in "high-risk areas," but not in Tripoli, the Libyan capital.
The annual forum brings together leaders in politics, business and philanthropy for three days of discussions about the most pressing global problems.
