Tuesday, 08 April 2014 04:13 PM EDT

Fans of '80s TV, crack open your piggy banks - "Knight Rider" star David Hasselhoff is selling his wheels.

The Knight Industries Two Thousand - known to fans of the NBC series as K.I.T.T. - went up for auction Monday on Julien's Auctions, with a starting bid of $15,000.

The Pontiac Trans Am, from Hasselhoff's personal collection, is expected to sell for somewhere between $30,000 to $50,000.

"Fans created this KITT car and gifted it to Hasselhoff," according to the site hosting the auction.

The car comes with the iconic red "sensor" light that K.I.T.T. is most famous for, complete with the talking car's signature digital voice readout on the dash. And yes, the car features over 4,000 soundbites from the series to keep you company.

If you can afford the hefty price tag, hopefully you have enough money left order to cover the shipping and handling costs.

Currently, the car is on display at the Museum of Style Icons in Ireland until April 27. The winning bidder is responsible for getting the car out of the Museum.

Hasselhoff played the leather-jacketed do-gooder Michael Knight on NBC's original run of the series, which aired from 1982 to 1986. The network's 2008 reboot of the series only lasted one season.
