Less than one third of adults in the United States favor the American Health Care Act, Republicans' answer to repealing and replacing Obamacare.

The results from a HuffPost/YouGov survey:

  • 31 percent favor the AHCA, compared to 44 percent who oppose it.
  • 45 percent favor the Affordable Care Act, compared to 44 percent who oppose it.
  • 39 percent said the AHCA would be worse than the ACA, with 26 percent saying it would be better.
  • 27 percent said things would get worse for them if the AHCA is signed into law.

The House passed the AHCA last week, and now it is in the hands of the Senate. Lawmakers in that chamber, however, have already expressed a desire to make several changes to the bill before it is put up for a floor vote.
