Biden's 'Equity' Plan Is New Racism

A mere six days into his reign, Biden issued a royal decree — excuse us, executive order — that establishes a new regime of racism all under the name of "equity."

Biden/Harris has instituted a policy based on skin color that has not been seen since the days affirmative action first arose.

Michael Barone, writing in Real Clear Politics, provides his analysis and the conclusion is chilling. During the discussion of the order Biden and his director of the Domestic Policy Council, Obama retread Susan Rice, used the word "equity" a total of 19 times.

The left is hoping the majority of Americans will simply assume ‘equity’ is just another form of the word ‘equality.’ Nothing could be farther from the truth. ‘Equality’ was one of the founding principles of this great nation. ‘Equity’ is a division of the spoils by racial bean counters under the supervision of an all–powerful state.

Winston–Salem University provides a neat summary: "Equality is typically defined as treating everyone the same and giving everyone access to the same opportunities. Meanwhile, equity refers to proportional representation (by race, class, gender, etc.) in those same opportunities."

Or as Andrew Sullivan — a liberal — explains, "to achieve 'equity' you have to first take away equality for individuals who were born in the wrong identity group. Equity means treating individuals unequally so that groups are equal."

Particularly ominous in Barone’s view, "Rice made clear that the policies mentioned Tuesday are just a start. 'Every agency,' she said, with no suggestion of exceptions, 'will place equity at the core of their public engagement, their policy design, and program delivery to ensure that government resources are reaching Americans of color and all marginalized communities — rural, urban, disabled, LGBTQ-plus, religious minorities, and so many others.'"

This Biden/Harris policy is a direct violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and, Barone believes, the 14th Amendment.

A government whose goal is equity enshrines tokenism and reverse discrimination.

Even worse, so-called equity is based on a lie.

"A lower-than-population percentage of blacks in any desirable category, explains critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi, must be the result of 'systemic racism' (a term Rice used twice and Biden six times Tuesday). If you don't agree, you're guilty of ‘white fragility’ and you must be a 'white supremacist.'"

The truth is any nation that elects a black president, where blacks compose 13.4% of the population, where blacks are well represented at every level of government, cannot be guilty of "systemic racism." It is a lie and those who repeat the canard are liars whose motive is only power for themselves.

Evidently Biden and Harris think they were elected by the faculty lounge at Harvard, because the nation does not share their opinion or their goals. The same election that elevated Biden to the presidency also saw a referendum in California.

Leftist politicians asked voters to repeal 1996’s Proposition 209 that forbid all state government agencies from enacting any policy that discriminated — affirmatively or not — on the basis of race. The leftist wanted to repeal Prop. 209 legalize the racial quotas and preferences that are the goal of the Biden/Harris equity project.

California voters rejected that perversion of democracy by 57% to 43% in spite of the fact repeal leftists spent 20 times more money than voters who wanted to prevent discrimination.

The equity project is un-American and will in fact pit citizen against citizen. It's dangerous and divisive. The voters know this, the question is, why don’t Biden and Harris?
