Yellen Foresees Inflation Under 3% by 2024 Year-End

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen Wednesday said she saw a consistent pattern of inflation falling over time and noted turbulence in the job market had really settled down.

Yellen told CNBC in an interview that by the end of 2024, the inflation rate would start with the numeral 2. The U.S. November Consumer Price Index rose 3.1% on an annual basis.
