The Transportation Security Administration reported that it set a new record in July the amount of passengers that it screened: 72.1 million, outdoing the June record of 69.9 million, according to The Washington Post.
Reagan National Airport in the D.C. region screened the most passengers that month, with more than 1 million, while Dulles International Airport in Virginia screened more than 989,000 and Baltimore-Washington International Marshall Airport screened nearly 970,000 air travelers.
The busiest day was June 30, and the least busy day was July 4. On the busiest day, 2.65 million people were screened, according to the Post.
