Trump Takes to Play-Calling Booth During Army-Navy Game

By    |   Saturday, 10 December 2016 06:25 PM EST

Donald Trump on Saturday made his third public media appearance since winning the presidential election when he sat in with with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson in the CBS broadcast booth as they play-called the Army vs. Navy game in Baltimore.

It was Lundquist's final game as a TV sports broadcaster.

Trump didn't talk about political affairs, and wasn't asked about them either.

But Danielson did ask Trump his feelings on taking office in January.

"You're bold, you're brash. Is it a humbling thought to know you're going to be Commander-in-Chief to all these troops?" Danielson asked.

"It is humbling. It's a great honor, a great responsibility. It’s beautiful to see," said Trump. "You don’t see this kind of spirit anywhere. These are just amazing people."

Trump has appeared on "60 Minutes" and the "Today" show but has mostly used Twitter as his method of dishing out his thoughts.

Trump took a little online heat for noting that the Army-Navy game isn't typically the "best football," though he did note that the teams made up for it in spirit.
