DeLay: America Consumes Too Much to Have Trade Surplus

The United States is such a big consumer it will never have a trade surplus, and tariffs on imports are not necessary, ​former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV.

The Texas Republican told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman he hopes President Donald Trump backs away from his proposal to institute tariffs on imported steel (25 percent) and aluminum (10 percent).
