The "Today" show's Savannah Guthrie cursed on an open microphone during the morning program Wednesday, leaving her red-faced before she quickly went to Twitter to apologize.
"Oh, s***" she was heard to say on the live broadcast. She quickly went on to say "Sorry guys" and looked down at her desk before the microphone was shut off and the show’s producers went to a promo, Entertainment Weekly reported, adding that a production error had left Guthrie's mic on while she was preparing for a segment.
Guthrie used humor on Twitter to apologize for the slip.
Many of the show's fans on social media appeared to be more than forgiving.
Guthrie, 46, has been a cohost on "Today" since July 2012, according to Biography.com. She has a law degree from Georgetown University and came to NBC from the former Court TV.
