Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., is accusing President Donald Trump of "lying" and "obstructing Congress."
Lieu, an outspoken critic of the president, made his comments in a Thursday morning tweet.
He wrote:
"Today is Thursday. That means @realDonaldTrump is lying again. (Robert) Mueller made clear he was not allowed to bring charges, despite the substantial evidence. Congress is the institution that can hold @POTUS accountable. That's why Trump is obstructing Congress."
Lieu's remarks came in response to Trump tweeting Mueller "would have brought charges, if he had anything, but there were no charges to bring."
