Fox News host Sean Hannity announced to his staff Tuesday night that he is not in negotiations to leave the network, a person at the meeting told Politico.
Hannity made the announcement to about 30 staff members at a thank-you party. He thanked the staffers and said he was "always available" for anyone who had questions. "And don't believe the destroy-Trump media," Hannity said, according to the person at the meeting.
The meeting was an unusual occurrence, because "Hannity doesn't do meetings," one person said in Politico's report.
Politico reporter Hadas Gold posted an image from the party on Twitter.
Rumors that Hannity would exit began to stir when Bill Shine, Fox News co-president, resigned Monday, according to The Washington Post.
On Thursday, Hannity tweeted that if Shine left it would be the "total end" of Fox News.
