Singer and character actor Robert Davi will take over the radio show spot held by Jerry Doyle, who was found dead in his Las Vegas home last month, Talk Radio Network announced Saturday.

"I believe, with everything in my bones, that 'The Robert Davi Show' will be the most successful show I have ever launched, and, if you don't believe me — you can stick it in your pipe and smoke it," said Mark Masters, CEO of TRN Enterprises, in a press release.

TRN will launch the new show.

"Robert is irreverent, endlessly funny, yet always keeps you on the edge of your seat; he makes the speakers disappear and in radio this ability is rare beyond jewels," Masters continued.

Davi, a conservative commentator, is a veteran of more than 140 movies, including roles in "Die Hard," "Showgirls," and "The Goonies," as well as TV appearances in "CSI," "Without a Trace," and "Law and Order: Criminal Intent."

In addition, his debut album, "Davi Sings Sinatra: On the Road to Romance" climbed to the top 10 on Billboard's traditional jazz chart. He will also be the subject of a documentary, "Davi's Way," directed by Tom Donahue later this year and is a writer for the Breitbart News website. His columns have also appeared on Newsmax's website.

Davi is also a recipient of the FBI's Man of the Year Award in Los Angeles; the "Military Order of the Purple Heart," which is a special recognition award for dedication and service honoring America's service members and veterans, and was named KNX Radio's "Citizen of the Week” after he saved a young girl from a fire at her home.

"The Jerry Doyle Show" had aired weekdays and offered "solutions-based talk radio," TRN said.
