People in Nice, France are dumping garbage at the spot where the terrorist who killed dozens of people last week died in a police shootout.
According to
The Local, the pile of trash, rocks, and messages lies at the site where Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel was shot dead by police
after he killed 84 people using a 25-ton truck as his weapon. More than 300 people were injured in the attack.
Bouhlel was killed in a shootout with police as he sat behind the wheel of the truck, more than a mile after his rampage began on the iconic Promenade des Anglais.
Someone reportedly wrote "coward!" at the site in the middle of the road, and there now lies a heaping pile of trash. Photos posted on The Local's website show people throwing and dumping trash onto the pile.
There's also
a memorial to the victims nearby, which has become a sea of flowers, French flags, candles, and messages of hope.
