A new report claims CNN is not interested in having Omarosa Manigault Newman on its airwaves as she promotes her controversial new book that is critical of President Donald Trump.

Page Six reported Monday that CNN has either turned down an invitation to interview Omarosa or canceled on her numerous times since she began her media tour a few weeks ago.

"Don Lemon was offered one of the first cable interviews and passed," a source told CNN.

The network also reported Omarosa was scheduled to sit down with Jake Tapper for an interview Sunday, but the network eventually cut her from the show's guest lineup.

"They only wanted to book guests with nothing positive to say about her," another source told CNN. "They were specifically looking for people who would provide a more negative slant when discussing Omarosa."

Omarosa's book is called "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House" and documents her time working in the White House in Trump's communications shop. She made wild claims in the book about Trump and, during her media tour, has released audio she secretly recorded in the White House of conversations she had with Trump and West Wing officials.
