Consultant: Obamacare Website Rife With Security Flaws

The security flaws of the Obamacare website have not changed and may have grown worse since its rollout, security analyst David Kennedy said.

"We really haven't seen any improvement as far as the site goes. And it looks like it's continuing to get worse and hasn't gotten any better," Kennedy, founder and principal security consultant of TrustedSec, told "Fox & Friends" on Monday.

Without implementing hacking methods, it took Kennedy four minutes to gain access recently to the personal records of 70,000 people through the Obamacare website. He said if hackers attempted to gain access to the site, the results could be problematic.

"If hackers actually targeted their efforts on HealthCare.gov, it's disastrous on what the type of information they could find on the website," he said.

Kennedy, who testified twice before Congress about Obamacare's website concerns, said delays in fixing the security issues could stem from the transition to the site's new web developer, Accenture, hired after the rollout to fix the website's problems.

Kennedy predicted there was "a long period to go" before the Obamacare website would be secure. He said the fact the website was down for repair on Monday, the final day of Obamacare enrollment, was "not good" and indicated there were "a lot of security issues behind the scenes."
