A portion of
HealthCare.gov, the website where people can sign up for Obamacare, is being taken down for maintenance nightly, according to an announcement on the site.
People will not be able to apply for health insurance on the site between 1 and 5 a.m. each day. The rest of the website remains open during those hours, the announcement says.
The site may also be down during other hours "as we work to make things better," the site says.
People can still apply by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
NBC News reports.
The site has been plagued with glitches since it opened on Oct. 1. The White House has admitted that testing wasn't thorough enough, and a document obtained by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee showed that only six people were able to sign up nationwide on the first day.
