A Navy commander abruptly quit earlier this week, literally walking off the job, Navy Times reported.

Commander Sarah DeGroot quit her command of the dock landing ship Rushmore and the 420-person crew, Navy Times reported. And no one is sure why.

"I don't think I have anything to say at this time," DeGroot told the Navy Times.

It's also unclear whether DeGroot will face disciplinary measures, but nothing is pending, the Navy Times reported.

DeGroot was the CO of Rushmore since March after serving as the ship executive officer, Navy Times reported.
