Megyn Kelly's new NBC daytime show is expected to replace the third hour of "Today," according to news reports on Wednesday.

NBC News declined to comment, Broadcasting & Cable reported.

However, a network source told the website that no decisions had been made on when Kelly would join the network or any premiere dates of her new shows.

Kelly's last installment of "The Kelly File" will air on Friday on Fox News, she said on Tuesday night's program.

Her Fox contract ends in July, Broadcasting & Cable reported, and Kelly may be blocked from officially joining NBC until after it expires.

Besides the new daytime show, Kelly will also host a Sunday evening news magazine show and contribution to breaking news.

"After more than a dozen years at Fox News, I have decided to pursue a new challenge," Kelly said Tuesday. "I'll be leaving Fox News at the week's end and starting a new adventure, joining the journalists at NBC News, who I deeply admire."

The third hour of "Today" has been troublesome for NBC, Broadcasting & Cable reports.

Hosted by Al Roker and Tamron Hall, they lead a discussion of "pop culture and light news with multiple hosts," according to the report.

Former "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush was hired last August to lead the hour, but he soon clashed with Roker over Bush's light-handed interview with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.

In October, NBC fired Bush after a 2005 video surfaced with him and then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump making lewd comments about groping and having sex with married women.

The beleaguered 9 a.m. hour comes between the popular 7-9 a.m. period that is anchored by Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie — and the 10 a.m. hour hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

Kelly's show, however, will not carry the "Today" brand, but will be specifically tailored to her, according to Broadcasting & Cable.

Mediaite also reported Wednesday that Fox offered Kelly $100 million to remain at the network but she had turned it down.
