Special counsel Robert Mueller is a “coward” for failing to determine whether President Donald Trump obstructed justice and for continuing his probe for two years, conservative commentator Mark Levin told Fox News.
Levin said the special counsel “didn’t pull the trigger on this… because he didn’t have probable cause” against Trump. “He didn’t have a case.”
In summing up the Mueller report, Attorney General William Barr said in a letter to Congress that, on the subject of obstruction of justice, that “while this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”
But Levin emphasized that Mueller did not even do anything to pursue obstruction by, for example, subpoenaing Trump or taking him to federal court to solve the issue, which Levin stressed shows that the special counsel did not have probable cause.
“I do not respect this prosecutor at all. It took him two years to tell us there was no collusion? Two years?”
Levin added that Mueller should have released the conclusions of his probe “months ago.”
“He should have come to the microphone and told the American people months ago that there was no collusion. To drag a president of the United States through this?”
