Conservative radio host Mark Levin is calling for two top Republicans to "resign" after Rep. Jackie Speier testified on sexual harassment in Congress.
The California Democrat said in a hearing on Tuesday that "there are two members of Congress, Republican and Democrat, right now, who ... have engaged in sexual harassment," according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
"I'm calling on [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell and [House Speaker] Paul Ryan to resign," Levin said on Tuesday, according to Conservative Review.
"Not to be provocative or controversial, but if this sexual harassment has been going on — I'm quite serious about this — in the United States Senate, in the United States House of Representatives, and they are the leaders," he continued.
"The Republicans have controlled the House of Representatives since 2011. [They've] controlled the Senate since 2015. And Ryan and McConnell have been around a long time, and they know, they know who is who or they know about many of those who are who is who, they should resign. And I am quite serious about that."
He added a plea for the media to investigate allegations of sexual harassment in Congress, saying, "apparently, there are members of Congress who are predators. Predators! And yet there is a code of silence like the mob!"
