Rush: 'Insane' Olbermann Being Replaced by 'Client No. 9'

By    |   Monday, 02 April 2012 06:02 PM EDT

Rush Limbaugh attacked fellow broadcaster Keith Olbermann as an “insane lunatic leftist,” during his radio show on Monday. And he said that is the only reason Olbermann ever gets hired.

Limbaugh said he has managed to ride out March when many on the left were calling for his firing for comments he made about Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke.

Instead, he said, the month ended with him having seven new advertisers to replace the five which had left, and Olbermann being the one getting the axe from Al Gore’s Current TV.

“If Olbermann were anything other than an insane lunatic leftist – which is a resume enhancement – he wouldn't get hired,” said Limbaugh, according to a transcript of the show posted on his website.

Olbermann was fired on Friday and replaced with former New York Gov. Elliott Spitzer, who resigned from that job after being caught in a prostitution scandal where he was identified as “Client No. 9.”

“Anyway, the month of March starts and they think they got me, and what happens is that Olbermann's gone and Client No. 9 is in his place at Al Gore's network,” said Limbaugh.

“And, by the way, Eliot Spitzer, great defender of women's rights. Great, great defender of women's rights, Client No. 9, Eliot Spitzer. Not exactly how they thought it was gonna turn out.
