Homegrown terrorists in Great Britain plan a Boston Marathon-like attack to kill Queen Elizabeth at Saturday's VJ Day memorial event, the Daily Mail reports.

The plot, using a pressure-cooker bomb, is being orchestrated by Islamic State (ISIS) leaders in Syria, according to the British news organization.

The events in Central London will mark the 70th anniversary of Japan surrender in World War II.

Prince Charles and other members of the royal family also are slated to attend the events and are possible targets.

The queen has been warned about the attack and plans to attend as scheduled, the Daily Mail reported.

The specific target might be the 2 p.m. drumhead service in Horse Guards Parade, which is only a half-mile from Downing Street where Prime Minister David Cameron lives, the mail reported.

Just last November a plot to stab the queen was foiled and four Islamic terrorist suspects were arrested. That attack was set for an event leading up to Remembrance Sunday, marking the end of World War I.
