Iran is tops for the fourth straight year in a Gallup poll asking Americans to name the country’s greatest enemy,
the National Journal reports. North Korea and China tied at Nos. 2 and 3, followed in order by the two countries in which U.S. troops are actually fighting, Afghanistan and then Iraq.

Twenty-five percent of poll respondents named Iran as the arch-nemesis. North Korea and China each got 16 percent of the America's biggest enemy vote. While Afghanistan has climbed the list, to 9 percent, Iraq continues to fall, to 7 percent, as U.S. combat operations wind down.
Pakistan was named by just 2 percent despite a growing rift between the two countries. The same percentage picked the United States as its own worst enemy.
