Three out of every five Americans believe the Obama administration's proposed deal with Iran will probably not prevent the Islamic Republic from building nuclear weapon, according to a new poll.

The Rasmussen Reports survey finds that only 31 percent of likely U.S. voters think that Iran will slow down or stop the development of nuclear weapons as a result of President Barack Obama's hoped-for treaty with the Middle East country, with just 9 percent saying it's "very likely."

On the other hand, 60 percent believe the administration's intended arrangement is unlikely to put the brakes on Iran's program to create weapons of mass destruction, with 33 percent saying it is "not at all likely" to succeed.

The survey of 1,000 likely American voters was conducted on March 10-11 with a margin of error of plus or minus three points.
