A hacker claiming to have hacked the Justice Department has published the personal data of almost 10,000 Department of Homeland Security employees and said on Twitter Monday he has done the same to 20,000 FBI employees, The Hill reports.

The hacker tweets from the account @DotGovs  and said his motivation is support for the Palestinian cause.

The DHS database appears genuine, according to The Hill, and includes contractors, biologists, special agents, task force officers, technicians, intelligence analysts and language specialists. The hacker shared information with Motherboard prior to the dump.

An agency spokesman told The Hill "there is no indication at this time that there is any breach of sensitive or personally identifiable information."

The hacker told Motherboard the databases were on a Justice Department intranet and that he had access to a terabyte of information. He said he could download only 200 gigabytes of data.

The hacker told Motherboard he was able to compromise a Justice Department email account, though he would not say how.

He was not able to log into a Justice Department portal with the credentials, however, so he said he simply called the proper department and asked for help.

"So I called up, told them I was new and I didn't understand how to get past [the portal]," he said. "They asked if I had a token code, I said no, they said, 'That's fine — just use our one.'"
