Michael Reagan to Newsmax TV: GM Too Bottom Line Focused

(Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now")

By    |   Wednesday, 28 November 2018 08:07 PM EST

The mistake General Motors made was focusing more on its bottom line rather than the future, political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV.

During an appearance on Wednesday's "Newsmax Now," Reagan was asked about this week's news GM will close several plants in the United States and Canada, which will cost more than 14,000 jobs.

"You gotta change with the times, and if you don't, you're gonna get passed by so many others," Reagan said. "And you're right about Tesla and other manufacturers coming into play. GM was living off of America, living off what they were getting from us, the billions of dollars to save them. And instead of looking forward, they were looking at the bank account."
