Robert Gibbs Joins NBC as Contributor

Former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has signed on with NBC News and MSNBC as a contributor.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow introduced Gibbs as a contributor on the air Tuesday night.

Gibbs will also be a contributor on NBC News, an NBC source told Politico.

Gibbs served as an adviser to President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, after working as his press secretary from 2009 to 2011.
