The final house designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the Circular Sun House in Phoenix, is on the market for $8.95 million.

The 3,000-square-foot home with unobstructed views overlooking Palm Canyon and the city below, was built to Wright's specifications in 1967, following his death at age 91 eight years prior, the New York Post reports.

Originally built with five bedrooms and three baths, its three-bedroom reconfiguration now has an office on the top floor, a library, and a den.

The 1,000 innovative structures that Wright designed in his 70-year career influenced much of 20th century architecture around the world, and were acclaimed for blending in with their environments, particularly with their expansive glass plate windows.

Circular Sun House, one of only 14 round homes designed by Wright, is distinctive with its golden Philippine mahogany curved walls to reflect the light of Palm Canyon.

Wright liked to include fireplaces in his residential designs. This house's fireplace is unique in that it is an inverted stone piece, which has been compared to the Guggenheim museum.

The home last underwent a complete renovation in 1995. Its listing suggests it might be a spectacular location for special events.

Besides his master teacher Louis Sullivan, Wright said the four other major influences of his organic architecture were nature, music, Japanese art, and the children's game Froebel Gifts.

In Wright's later years, when an associate called him "an old amateur," Wright retorted, "I am the oldest."
