WARSAW, Poland (AP) — President Barack Obama says Poland's successful transition to democracy has made it a leader in Europe and around the world.

Obama spoke Saturday following a meeting with Poland's president. Obama is asking Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries to use their experience transitioning to democracy to assist nations in the Middle East and North Africa.
