Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton ripped President Donald Trump on Thursday, saying he “betrays his oath every day,” by not making an effort to protect the country’s voting system.

“The president hasn't just refused to condemn a foreign power that attacked our democracy,” Clinton tweeted Thursday morning. “He's also failed to protect the country's voting systems against future attacks. He betrays his oath every day.”

Trump tweeted on Thursday: "I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected," before telling reporters a short time later that “no, Russia did not help me get elected.”

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference led to a dozen Russian intelligence officials being indicted for allegedly hacking Democrats. He said Wednesday in his public statement on the investigation that “there were multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election.”

Trump attacked the Mueller investigation on Thursday, calling it “the greatest presidential harassment in history,” in one tweet, and accusing Mueller of having a conflict of interest because he interviewed for the position of FBI Director after James Comey’s firing in another.
