Post-traumatic stress disorder is most often associated with war veterans. But health professionals now fear the COVID-19 pandemic may trigger a crashing wave of PTSD in Americans coast to coast.

Dr. David Shulkin, a former secretary of Veterans Affairs under President Donald Trump, says pandemics have been long linked to significant mental health issues, including PTSD.
