Judicial Watch's Fitton: ACA Website Still Not Secure

Americans must still fear putting their personal information on the Affordable Care Act website when they sign up for healthcare, says Tom Fitton, president of the government watchdog group Judicial Watch.

"If you put information on the Obamacare website and expect it to be private, you might as well be putting your child's piggy bank and leaving it in the middle of the street," Fitton said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"It's going to get opened. It's at risk of getting opened. We have documents that Congress wasn't able to get that disclose the security risk.

"The Obama administration knew about these risks and yet allowed the HealthCare.gov website to open and put the privacy protected data of millions of Americans potentially at risk."

He said that includes such sensitive information as Social Security numbers and medical information.

"The most private information you're entrusting with the government, it's seemingly sitting here for the taking for hackers who are inclined to get it," Fitton said.

"It's very serious and there needs to be consumer warning on this website. If it was a private company, they'd be subject to criminal investigation over what was going on in terms of its failure."
