Frost on Pumpkin Debunks Global Warming Tales

Okay. Let's get this straight once and for all: There is no such thing as global warming.

For the past decade, global temperatures have been falling, yet Congress and the Obama administration are bound and determined to enact into law a Draconian measure known as cap and trade that will cripple the economy and send tens of thousands of jobs abroad. It will thrust a heavier financial burden on the shoulders of the American people as energy costs "skyrocket" — in Obama's own words — all in the name of saving the world from a climate problem that just plain doesn't exist.

A passel of idiots tells the tale, which flies in the face of scientific facts, yet continues to be the national policy of the Obama administration and his minions on Capitol Hill. And unless the American people rise up and shout STOP, cap and trade will become law.

The aim of this absurd bill is to regulate emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), a gas that a foolish Supreme Court ruling deemed a "pollutant," making it a threat worthy of Big Brother's control.

Threat? Listen, CO2 is a vital gas that keeps plant life healthy — and that plants convert into life-giving oxygen. The higher the level of atmospheric CO2, the healthier is all plant life.

In an e-mail to me, eminent Canadian scientist Dr. Tim Ball described the CO2 situation: “The main greenhouse gases are water vapor 95% by volume, CO2 less than 4% and methane. CO2 is not a pollutant, but the most important gas because without it plants don't survive. No plants, no oxygen therefore no life at all. At 385 ppm it is at the lowest level in 600 million years and to reduce it puts the plants in jeopardy. At 250 ppm they weaken and begin to die. At 150 ppm most are dead. Double the amount and plants grow much more vigorously and they are most productive at 1000 to 1200 ppm. Commercial greenhouses use these levels to quadruple the yields.”

Some scientists ignore the necessity of maintaining high levels of atmospheric CO2, label it a pollutant, and want to ban the gas. They claim that water vapor and other natural gases, such as methane, that make up the roster of greenhouse gases combine with CO2 to create a barrier that surrounds our Earth like a belt and prevents the sun's heat from escaping into space, trapping the heat within, and excessively warming the planet.

Of all the greenhouse gases, CO2 constitutes much less than 4 percent, but it is seen to be a mortal threat to the earth's climate.

Although huge amounts of CO2 rise out of oceans heated by undersea volcanic eruptions (as demonstrated by iceagenow.com's brilliant Robert Felix) the warmists point an accusing finger at evil old mankind for producing a lot of the CO2 in the atmosphere through emissions from manufacturing and other human activities, including exhaling lots of CO2 every time we draw a breath.

Nobody can point to this greenhouse gas barrier because it exists solely in those rigged computer programs that allegedly prove the existence of global warming. All these vaunted computer programs that supposedly accurately predict future climate somehow failed to forecast the cooling trend that has existed for the past decade and is expected to last for the next 30 years or so.

They all predicted a continually rising global temperature when in fact Mother Nature has lowered the thermostat dramatically.

The fact is that it is getting colder and colder as we move further into the present era of global cooling. It is now mid-October, the time we usually call "Indian Summer." It snowed during the past weekend as far south as Colorado.

That's global warming? C'mon now, let's get serious. We are facing at least 30 years of declining temperatures, Some scientists foresee the onset of a new little ice age that could last for many years. And Barack Obama and the warmist fools want to wreck our economy by actions designed to stop the planet from getting warmer and make it colder — a job Mother Nature herself is doing.

No matter how you look at it, it's a tale told by idiots.
