Currency-Trading Rises to Record $5.58 Trillion a Day, CLS Says

CLS Bank, the New York-based operator of the world’s largest currency-trading settlement system, said it handled an average $5.58 trillion a day in trades last month, the most on record.

Average daily instructions submitted to the bank in June rose almost 10 percent from the previous month to 1,460,584, also a record, it said in a statement yesterday.
