AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — The Jordanian military says two American trainers were killed and a third was wounded in an exchange of fire outside an air base in southern Jordan.

The statement by the military did not say what prompted the exchange on Friday.

A Jordanian military officer was also wounded in the incident at the al-Jafr air base.
