An Israeli was stabbed by a Palestinian in the Old City of east Jerusalem on Monday night before the arrest of one of his alleged assailants, also a Palestinian, police said.
The Israeli suffered serious wounds when he was attacked by several Palestinians at the yeshiva, or Jewish seminary, where he studied in the Old City, the police said.
Another Israeli was lightly wounded.
A Palestinian suspect from east Jerusalem had been arrested and "other arrests were expected," said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.
