LIGNET: Twin Bombings Spark Security Crisis Ahead of Sochi Games

Two suicide bombings in the past two days have rocked the southern Russian city of Volgograd, just a few hundred miles from Sochi, host of the 2014 Winter Olympics. More than 30 people were killed in the attacks, not far from the Caucuses, where Islamist separatist movements have been actives for decades. The violence already has foreign governments wondering if the city of Sochi can guarantee the safety of Olympic participants and spectators who will soon be streaming into the Black Sea resort town.
